chalice w/out an eye, can it survive?

i had a small frag of a chalice, but while i was away for two days, gobies pour sand over it leaving it almost buried. It's lost major portion of its flesh including the eye, but 1/3 of the "flesh" seems healthly attatched. Can it survive?

Yes it certainly can survive.. Just make sure it doesnt get stressed out more and buried again..

Sure can Vince, just keep it a little more secure and it should turn out fine. Make sure it gets decent enough flow to help clear off any necrotic tissue but not too much so that it doesn't expand well. You'll just have to wait for another mouth to form in order to feed it!
