wow. what happened to being happy for a fellow reefer? you really think you're the ONLY one with that coral? wow.

Even though Brian made his point, if I got a coral that looks like the original watermelon, is it right for me to say I have the original watermelon? Do I beleive that that was the only piece that came in, no. I do know that Brian coined this piece and if someone else has something similar, they should coin it for themself.

I have a few pieces that are look a likes and I do not claim they are the real deal. There are enoigh people out there, hobbyist and retailers, that sell pieces as originals when they are not. I am in the minority here in the hobby that does like the story behind the coral.

BTW, if I was the guy who bought the coral thinking it was the same coral, I'd be ****ed :mad2:

This debate will go on and on, but that is my take and it is only an opinion ;)

Thanks Erin,

Always good to have nice people in the hobby like Alicia. She has some really nice chalices in her collection. :)

I got it as a small frag, almost a year ago.

Yep. There are a few reefers that have made this hobby what it is for me ;)

Great shot of a beautiful coral Fonda.

I wish I could edit my post, but I can't. Will this response make you happier?

I just got a coral that looks EXACTLY like stargazer. I paid $30 for the piece called "ultra rare green rim chalice". Here's the pic of the MC. Sheeesh didn't mean to get your panties in a wad.

Bah, some people get so bent out of shape about corals with a "NAME" . The pokemon (got to collect them all) mentality really irratates me. I collect corasl that look good, I don't need Tyree's blessing or overpriced frags...I'll take what looks good at a reasonable price ...(end rant). BTw just wait 2 years and you can get colonies for the price of todays Tyree frags.

coraldiva, nice frag no matter if it's Tyree or not... ;)

Very nice coraldiva...it may not be the same, but I actually think yours is nicer. Thanks for sharing.

i would not say EXACTLY it is a very similar peice the Stargazer does not have as much green in the body it only has a green rim. the blue in the stargazer is also more intense as well as the eyes have a pink rim then gold inner eye. you have a great coral at a great price
