JEEEZE Ken, I'm really wishing the wifey would give birth early... I may have to make a special trip out there just to poach some frags from you! :D
That's a great shot of the Echinophyllia w/ the sweepers/feeders out Kramer.

Mac.....I'd come there and deliver your wife if it meant we could somehow get to Mustangs and wrangle a frag of that!
Mustang..that thing is absolutley awesome!I've never seen coloration like that....was it brown when you got it or did you pick it up that color?
Kosmo...what kind of lighting did you take that pic with? I've got the same chalice and wonder if it has the same kind of sweep action..pretty amazing!
I can't wait for my little bitty alien eye to grow up like yours..I never get tired of seeing pics of that baby. A beautiful coral!

Doc

Check out a months growth, for this piece.. It seems to change colour pretty quick depending on placement (unfortunetly it only seems to stay in one place for a couple weeks at a time..due to I dunno, just..because..haha..but I think i found a new home for it..hopefully it will take off there..) (also this coral has only been captive for 2 months)

So..

This photo is from March 19 (notice how the edges are still ruff and broken for when I first got it and fragged a piece for a friend..)

and this photo was taken today less then a month apart.. Check out how all the edges are showing new polyps and sighns of growth like how the tissue has healed over and is streching out.. I can't wait till this piece gets to a decent size (6"+) I have a feeling it's going to be a very quick grower

Hey Doc :) I took that with atinics.I had the lights out about a hour then put the atinics on to snap the pic.The alien eye dosen't have sweepers like the pink/blue.Good luck with yours,it should do fine they're pretty tough

Very nice piece Brahm!
OK Okie, I'll swing by your place w/ the wifey on the way home from Mustang's, and get a frag of that new blue one, while you show me where this magic fish-store is you're scoring all these mint corals from! :D

Man...I picked a wrong time to post mine...sandwiched around were spectacular chalices, and mine were passed over. ;)

Peace,

Chip

Hey , hey Mac...What if the wifey starts having contractions while here?? Tell me you would not make me endure delivering another baby! The only babies I deliver now are the ones coming from the ocean to my tanks!
BTW...this last pink echino was from a different LFS altogether!
We have a new store that opened in Dec and the owner is a definite "coral head". Likes the exotics!
I also got a new one fresh out of the water...totally without any redeeming color at all....have let it start to color up but may take some time. I've never had one that fresh ....its fun watching it!
Anytime you're in the great state of Oklahoma...give a call!
Thanks guys (for the quick reply)

Doc

LOL! I have a feeling she'd prolly have the baby if I even broached the idea of a road trip to her, never mind some fish-geek I met on the internet delivering! :lmao:

"No honey, it's fine, really we traded frags, he's got some sweet stuff. Really, it's fine, no, he's really a doctor, yes, everything will be allright, don't worry....."

- Mac

Soon, this will come to my tank : )

I cannot wait to see it. : )

Oh, is this echino as well? I taught when I saw it but it's got some Acan family name... does anyone know name?

clownfishcrazy...Be glad to give directions...Will do so when I get home tonight.

mschriskim....All I can say is Swheeet! X2 even. #1 definitely an echino..I'd go with Echinophyllia Aspera. The second one I don't knowbut will definitely find out for a frag :) Seriously Sweet acquisition! congrats!
