Thanks everyone. I think I am done with the Reverse Watermelon collection :D

Gordon, I love that baby blue with the pink eyes. Nice to see a fully grown out colony once in a while.

yeah, and this one is a lot cheaper too :D

in all seriousness not as nice as the BPC FT but it's the only one I got :D

Is it really that close in appearance to even be called FT?

I hope this doesn't become a trend. I know there are various watermelons out there, and maybe a couple others with similar 'color' names like so and so's Blue echinopora, or more than 1 person/vendor got pieces of the same coral when it first came in, etc., but c'mon now. Lets not start the game of naming a coral the same as another just based on it being 'similar'. ;)

Does anyone have pics of both side by side?

to be honest with you I didn't name this coral the person I acquired it from did, personally I didn't want to upset the person by calling it something else since it is his coral and he named it but in actuality it's not the FT, imho the original is the BPC piece and that's it, no others including the Trop piece and the Florida piece but we all know how things get labeled in this hobby once something get's popular

I am not sure, but it looks like the Florida Flame Thrower may not have the cool orange rim...I have yet to see the rim in any picture. For me, the Orange rim with the orange eyes and the red base with trickles of baby blue in it made the original Flame Thrower Suuuuuper Saweeeet. I have an interesting Orange line running from the orange rim into the base on my BPC Flame Thrower. I am very curious what that will do over time, maybe more eyes will develop along that line. The Orange rim is just awesome on the BPC Flame Thrower. The Florida FT looks real nice though.

Larry, it is obvious to me that there are people throwing a moniker on their chalcie if it is remotely close. On EBay I see it all the time. I think we just have to be discerning shoppers if we want the real deal and ask for lineage. But it does get a little much, lol.

First two beauties are from Alicia! Thanks so much Alicia I LOVE them!!! Tell me the Aqua Red Fusion is not Gorgeous? so underrated!!!

I was totally surprised at how nice it looks, it really is a beauty

I've had a few eyes go pink on the Aqua Red Fusion, but not all, just a couple. It has colored up over the 7 months it has been in the tank.

Kevin, That is a gorgeous pictutre of it. Okay, so I want a count of how many chalices you now own???

Around 30 but I know Ian has around 80+ and then there is Kenny and Jose and of course you! LOL!!

I was also over Kigs house last night and he had one of those acrylic lookdown boxes and all I did was drool over all the chalice's, INSANE palys and zoas...those lookdown boxes are way cool!

How is the Acid Trip doing for you? and do you have any pics of the Oregon ME?

Kevin, I only have 40. No Oregon Mummy Eye in my tank. I have the Original ME, the Emerald ME, and Meng's ME. Ian has a rad collection. I would love to see a written out list of all the chalices that he has, hehehehe. Do you remember that Galaxy Big Bang chalice you posted a few months ago from the Florida guy on Ebay??? My frag is looking really sweet, still tiny and who knows what it will turn into in the next year but the color has certainly surprised me. I have yet to get a shot of it so I need to for comparisons as it grows.

The Acid Trip is doing well. I have noticed some definate "coloring up" overall. I am anxious to see the growth pace on this chalice. I wil take another picture in a month or two to see how it compares to that first one the day I got it when it looked all tattered and battered, LOL.

Heck yes I remember that Big Bang! I forgeot you got that one, it was sweet...post a picture if you can

Okay, I have the Oregon so maybe that one and the Mengs are fast growers we can eventually trade frags :D that one is almost more on my hit list than the FT
