and a new project that I thought was worth a try

I moved my OS frag into brighter light, hoping to get the orange/yellow bumps more pronounced. A good idea?

Peter, sometimes I wonder if the OS is one of those that need to grow to a certain size before it gets it's full coloration. I know that's the case with the Key Lime. All the frags I've ever made were never fully colored up. But anything bigger than about 1.5" or so look like the mother colony.

Rob, nice size piece you got there.

Thanks Kenny, it is doing well for me, got about 3/4 or less than what I have now 8 weeks ago. Growing nice, great PE at night, and starting to color up more. I'm not into mycediums as much as echinos, but really love the KLMS. Can't wait till mine looks like the mother! Can't get a clear pic where it is located, tried to work with it a bit.

I think it was a mistake reading this challice thread. :( I don't want to go to the dark side... but I hear it calling me... :D

Someone please put a warning banner on this thread, so others like me don't stumble into it.

I love this one. It reminds me of the Star Trek Deep Space Nine worm hole opening up in space. What's the name and where did you get it, roblack?

Thank you very much. It is the Superman Chalice, got it from Victor and Lou at WWC. Still have to come off a frag of the PPE chalice Thing to pay for part of it. I like the electric blue sparkles. Soon I will get some better pics with more definition. Oh, used to love DS9! Just never know who's gonna crawl out a worm hole.

My OS has very good color and its only a frag.:(

There were three frags total. I kept the one with the least amount of orange/yellow. The others had some very nice color.

How much light do you give yours?

I thought Kev used his floor carpet as the background!

Kev, love that Mars Invasion Enchino! Also, looks like the OS could use some brighter light to bring out more color.

LOL thanks Bob! I'll give it a bit more light! That Mars Invasion was in the $20 frag bin at my LFS, talk about striking gold!

Yeah, Thriller makes me want to take a drive up the road to Stuart with Dremel in hand.

I predict Justin will now wow us with an amazing new chalice that he cannot believe he found...
