Changing fan from a Current Outer Orbit

So I just bought one used from a fellow member here and its coming in the mail. The only problem with it (it is a relatively new fixture) is that the fan is dead. Anyone ever changed a fan on one of these fixutres? If so, how hard was it to change and what fan did you use? Its the 24 inch 150w hqi and 4 24 in t5s.

just a tip..
Replacing fans in any product is generally easy.. BUT you MUST make sure you get one of the same voltage rating AND CFM rating. CFM is VERY IMPORTANT.
So when you get it check the fan for a manufacturers part number. Then find out the voltage/CFM/size and simply find one that matches.. CFM of the new fan must be equal or greater than the old fan.
Noise is also specificed in dB for each fan..

I put in two fans in my current satellite fixture when I retrofitted it with leds. I believe I used 40mm ones, however you can easily measure the ones that come in yours.

I got mine from newegg, alot better prices and selection than I have at my radioshack for the same fans.

Also if it fits, thicker fans will generally produce more cfm and lower noise per the same amount of wattage. (emphasis on generally).

Good luck, though its enough enough I doubt you'll need it.

I will take a look at newegg and rapid led. I observed the fan from a picture I saw and I see threads about the noise these things can make. So I am going to look for the exact fan with low dB and won't cost like $30.
