changing stands

I have a 210 on an AA stand, my tank has been running 4-5 years. I'd like to build a taller stand and redo my plumbing/sump/fuge because it's a mess underneath. I figure my tank will be down for about 24 hours. do you guys think there will be any harm in the integrity of the tank if I drain it and fill it back up. I've heard from some locals it's not a good idea and I'm looking for some more opinions

I have substrate, but I'm planning on changing that while the tank is empty

its not a problem. if you look at all the tanks that have been sold, moved and reset up on the forums here you can sleep well.

I would think that would cause a lot of stress on your animals. IMO a move of fifty miles or fifty feet equals death to a certain number of corals.

Its always a risk, but if planned carefully, the risks can be minimized.

I'm actually phasing out the sps, so most of them will be out before the move, I'm sure the fish will be a little cranky but they will forgive me
