cheap bulbs or good price?

I was looking for a replacement bulb on ebay and came across this.

I was told most replacement bulbs would be at least $60 ..and this guy is selling one for $20 including shipping.

Will I likely get what I pay for or is this just a good deal?

hmmm...... the only way to find out is buy 1 and let us all know, I am curious as well as I am looking to go back to MH and dump my T5's

The fact that the seller doesn't mention a brand would make me a bit leary. That and it states that the seller has 499 available. I'd guess that he bought a bunch of un claimed freight or closeout. If that is the case there may be a reason they're only $20.

There have been many threads about this in the lighting forum, about ebay bulbs and most people have had good luck with many, names add $$ who is to say these are not of equal quality, with out a brand name?

Just my .02 I'd never buy a bulb for my tank (investment) that I didn't know more about.
In addition, I have seen too much cheap chinese crap sold under mislabel, etc. I have seen hundreds of cutting edge lighting companys go away because what they offered was un tested, unproven, and ultimately unreliable. Whenever I cut a corner, it usually comes back to bite me in the A@&. Then I spend mre money on the item that I wanted all along. Sorry if I struck a nerve.

Gonna take my chances. After a little searching I did notice a post on this forum in the lighting section from a guy who tried the bulbs as well and he seems happy with em. I'll keep you guys updated
