Cheap Point & shoot camera

Can someone recomend a cheap camera for aquarium pictures? I have done some reading and realize that that a used d40 with a lens is the way to go. But I would like to keep this under $200. I just want to document my tank build and use it for pictues of frags that I want to sell. A buddy took some pics of my tank with his smart phone and I was very impressed. Is there a point and shoot that can at least match his smart phone?

I have a canon ELPH 300hs. My pictures have come out really good despite it being a point and shoot.
