cheato dieing?

I recently added some cheato to my fuge. The fuge isnt that big, about 7 gallons or so.

There is a pretty high flow rate blowing across the macros as there is really no room for the flow to dissipate.

I light the fuge 24 7 with a LOA setup.

I have noticed that the cheato is getting clear or white in some areas and has lost some of it's luster.

Should I: ???

A: Do nothing

B: Switch to a 12 on 12 off lighting period

mine did the same thing. now i left with a small golf ball clump. I light mine from 6 am to 11pm.

The photoperoid should be fine. I run a 24/7 photoperoid and my chaeto grows well. Perhaps the flow is a problem. Do you test your nitrates and phosphates? Is it possible that one or the other is just nearly zero and not enough for the chaeto to grow? I am dosing a Kent Marine brand Iron supplement and I think that increased the rate my chaeto grows.

I had read about iron dosing from Randy a few months ago. Maybe I will give that a shot.
