Cheato not growing

P.S. it's Chaeto as in Chaetomorpha Algae, not Cheato which I believe is a cheese flavored snack!

Cheetos! Cheetos! Best snack ever. Completely covers three of the major food groups: sugar, salt and fat.

My Chaeto didn't grow and neither did my Gracilleria, or Ulva Lettuce but the Caulerpa Prolifca does great.

Reefcleaners said 6700-10K range. I just got a 6500 bulb from the Home Depot, will that work?

What constitutes a "plant light"?

I have read a lot of articles that say a 6500 CFL works well. My LED fuge light is 6500k so you are good with the one from HD that is 6500.

6500 cfls have been used for years.

I don't think the light makes all that much difference, frankly. I currently use a 6500K LED bulb, but previously used one at 5000K and one with 660nm Reds. Guess what? No difference in growth. If your chaeto won't grow I think it's far more likely it's lacking a key nutrient. Neither nitrate or phosphate is the likely culprit either. Probably iron as was noted earlier.
