I have a bunch of cheato in my sump and was wondering what others have in the way of area designated for the cheato in their sumps, how much free area you have around the cheato itself, how much flow is running thru it, how much volume is your system (gallons) and is the cheato keeping up with the nutrient uptake your systems gives out (less what your skimmer removes).
My area is 13x13x16 that is basically full to the brim. I have a sequence dart feeding my system that would provide approx 3000gph by the time it hits the sump. System volume is approx 250 gal. to add My lighting is reversed light cycle to the display tank - on 10 hours at night and is a compact florescent 23w 5000K floodlamp style bulb.
