The reason I missed the meeting yesterday was because of this :D I was in the middle of building this thing and just couldn't stop until its finished :D The dimension is 20" X 24" with an external overflow. This tank will be inline with my main system in the garage runing reverse photoperiod. I will post more pix when its all hooked up. Does anyone have any spider reflector laying around cheap ?? :D :D I gave away all my extras and now needing one.

Looks sweet. I have a piece of reflector laying around, I think I got it from you :D . I like the built in overflow too. Nice job.

Chris cool, I love to have it back if you are not using it  This tank will be used to prop rare stuff only ... so when its done I'll let you have a shopping spree :D :D

Thanks Jeff, Mike, I'll go to tap some time soon to get some Acrylic glue for ya.

I am not going to be using T5 on this tank, just 1 175watt halide with the Iwasaki 15k bulb and that should be plenty of lights. Got to get some grids and plumbing tonight and the tank should be completed. Hope to have it running by this weekend

Tom,
Looking Good!! Its official, your the only one Who has an Excuse for missing the meeting and Jeff's Great smoked Ribs.

Bob

The green and purple rim cap is doing great. How much calcium do I owe you.:D :D . It grew a lot, can I drop off a few more corals for you to grow out?:D :D

Clayspt, the acrylic was 40 bucks, I bought it for $1/lb at a salvage yard, and the glue was from Mike so I think by the time I am done it will cost about $50 but if you have to buy the acrylic from Tap plastic it would cost alot more.

Chris sure bud, just bring them over I'll grow them for ya and all you have to do is bring the wine :D :D

Tom,
Frags are doing well. Thanks Again. I think you'll have a chance at them again. Jeff has committed to hosting the next meeting and I think the Idea was to throw in some $$ and Jeff would work his magic again. Rumor had it we would try a friday night and maybe we'll get a few more offenders.

Cool, I cant wait. Maybe in the next meeting we can have a brain storm session on how to raise money for the club through out the year so we can have a party at the end of each year or use that money to buy colony of corals and chop it up and have our annual big frag swap like the BAR club.

Ya Tom you did miss some good eats and a Big thanks to Bob for hosting the meeting. Where are you going to run this prop tank, your garage is already packed. Mabe on the roof so you get the solar benifits.

Your tank looks great Bob, Thanks again for hosting. It would be nice to have the next six meetings at someone's house. It's nice to be able to see each person's tank. I got dibs on December. I have a couple cool ideas for the frag swap.
As far as raising money Tom, I think you should put together a raffle of some sort. start off small and see where we can take it. If we start a raffle system I can talk to ocean treasures and a couple other stores about donations. eventually we will be able to buy the prizes. Start at $2 a ticket or 15 for $20.
Here was our take on the club at the last meeting. I am happy to be President but I need help. Everybody has good ideas, nut we need to implement those ideas. One person is way too busy to handle it all. For example, Bob has a great Idea about posting something about our club in local stores. If we can come up with what we want to post I might be able to get my Mom's company to make banner's or posters or something. Also Tom's idea about the raffles is great, following Tom's lead on it I think we can make something cool happen.

I'm liking the Ideas! I really think there's people out there that would come to meetings, but have no Idea a club exists Here. I didn't until Steve Ruddy told me. I think we simply need to tell them the benefits of coming to meetings and getting involved. I also would think the LFS's would be happy to put something up on the wall and maybe even promote the club. It can only mean more business for them. I'm actually a little suprised that there aren't any LFS employees coming to meeting

Jeff, I was hoping to use the roof and use natural sun light but my wife said now cuz last time after climbing up onto the roof to watch the fire work, I had trouble climbing back down

Mike Mister president, I know you will take our club to the next level ... so if you need any help I am willing. Also I like Thysrof idea of promoting our club with local store owners .... I think Thysrof will make a great public relation person for the club.

ok here are some more pix of the frag tank. I could have completed last night but I forgot to buy PVC glue  what a dork

I built the grid in two sections so that if anything falls through the crack, I can atleast pop up one of the grid section to pick it up
