This red\blue one is doing excellent.. my little sactithomaes i keep having to move they don't seem happy where they are. One has detatched from its rock and keeps drifting near one of my LPS pieces. i feel like im playing with fire. I might have to bridal veil it to a rock and put it in time out but with those its weird they are very free to gutspill if you even look at them funny.. This red one behaves more. I think its of a similar relation. trying to find out where they come from geographically
My friend that just got one like you do said that it is a caribbean morph. The place he got it from said it came from a collector in the caribbean and keys.......
There's a kind called st thomas - look at my bubble mushroom thread. I think they are related but I am not sure. My LFS is working on tracking down where this one came from for me.
She got 2 in and another 2 on the way but says she only has one supplier for it so who knows. I love em though!
You know I will so long as my credit line exist hahaha I actually hope this one makes mush babies I think a colony of them together would just look stunning.
Any tips on how to get them to procreate? I actually am trying to nurse that bleached yuma I have back to health and am starting to take the time to shut my pumps off for a good 15 mins and am feeding cyclopeez with a dropper. It was really cool to see the one above in the pic fold up and eat!!!
Sometimes its hard to get the stuff to stick so they will fold up and eat.
Is there any benefit to using something like DTs oyster eggs ? I can get them on my way home next week if a variety is good like when feeding fish
Haha thanks my LFS said she is getting in an all red one i'd like to see pics of what it looks like If I become a mush-mom this forum will be the first to know LOL
I doubt DT oyster eggs would make a big differance with that mushroom or any others as those that like to eat would be better served by getting a little mysis and cyclop-eeze.....I think you should just keep doing what you are doing and soon enough it will make another......
Cool thanks. I know its a crapshoot with photosynthetic corals.. sometimes they react very well to food supplements and sometimes it makes no difference at all
