Check Valve for Salt water?

Is there a 1.5" or even a 2" check valve okay for salt water?

What are you trying to do with a check valve? If you are putting it inline with your return pump to prevent the water from draining back with you turn them off/loose power, why don't you just drill a couple of small holes (1/8" or so) just below the water level on your return line so that it will break the syphon and then you don't have to worry about it. Besides, I wouldn't trust a check valve anyways and they are going to restrict your flow.

This is all up in the air depending on if I move or not. But if I do move, on my new tank I want to put 4 returns drilled in the back of the tank. 2 up high and 2 about mid tank (so the 1/8" hole would not work there. However I could run the returns up and over the tank and then drill the 1/8" holes like I have it setup now.) My sump will be in the basement and the tank will be on the main level. The pump I need will be pushing quite a bit of flow and would like to spread that around the tank just not the top area. Would like to save the money and put in a 4 way Oceansmotions, but don't know if I will do that or not. Just trying to think ahead so if I do move I have an idea.

You can find all sorts of salt-safe fittings in the lawn-sprinkler-system department at Lowe's/Home Depot. It's not with the rest of the plumbing.

They're pricey, but this is the only one that I'd use. It's clear to see when it's dirty and you can take it apart to clean it.
