Checkerboard Wrasse Reef Safe?

I currently have one of these, and have been doing lots of research on how reef safe they are. Interestingly, I seem to be finding somewhat conflicting opinions. I would like to keep Shrimp and some LPS in my tank...but not if my Wrasse will wreck havoc. Thanks guys!

This sp. of Halichoeres gets really large, it has a tendency to become more aggressive than others in the genus, and has a higher chance of eating motile inverts. Whether or not yours will cannot be fully determined without trying, each fish has its own personality and yours may not have any interest in shrimp, snails, or crabs. Your LPS should be fine.

Mine became a holy terror. It would attack any new fish added and was relentless with anything long and slender. It did however leave my 2 large cleaner shrimp alone while it shared the tank with them. Honestly, I was ecstatic when I caught it and was able to remove it from my tank.

Thanks guys for the input. I'm sad to say, but the little guy will indeed by heading back to the shop. I love him, but I think it's for the best so he doesn't become a problem. Thanks again.
