Cheese Cloth?

Do you think using some cheese cloth with help cut down mirco bubbles and help catch debris?

I would imagine the mesh size of cheese cloth is too fine and will back up the water. Where do you intend to place the cloth?

place it at the other side of siphon tube....tie it around the tube and that way it will catch all the debry and I can recycle the water...cheese cloth is that cloth that painters use....Im not sure for what exactly but I saw it at hd at the painting section and thats where i got the idea from

I would think that cheese cloth is too fine of a mesh and you are going to have more problems with it than you would want. Detritus is going to buildup very quickly and you will be changing this thing out every day if not more often. Microbubbles are probably originating from your skimmer. You can place a filter sock over the output of your skimmer and it will break up the bubbles. You could also try adjusting your skimmer to have it make larger bubbles. I guess this depends on what type of skimmer you have though. I have a ETSS 500 and have the same type of problems every so often and this is what I do to help with this.

Just use foam or such, cheesecloth with get backed up way to quickly.
