How often and how much should you trim off of the cheto at a time? I have just been waiting till it's a little on the full side. Do you export more nutrients by trimming more often?
It tumbles in my refugium and I trim it when it gets so big that it stop tumbling. I usually cut half of it away. I think it exports as it grows. The faster it grows, the more nutrients are being used up and ultimately exported by trimming.
