Chevron Tang diet

Hey guys I recently purchased a small Chevron tang from my LFS and he seems to be a very picky eater. Right now he is in a 30 gallon quarantine tank so I can easiliy observe him over the next couple of weeks. Can anyone with experience in keeping these fish give me some diet suggestions that I can try? So far, I have tried all kinds of nori and about every frozen food there is and I only get very slight feeding response. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Bristle tooth tangs often won't eat large pieces of anything especially when newly captured, and ESPECIALLY when really small, IME. I've had really good luck with tiny food items... also, crushed up and presoaked spirulina flake, or even those mini-pellets from NLS... Can you put some liverock in there?

My kole tang eventually started eating in QT when I offered Sera stick-on spirulina tabs. After that, it ate everything. They don't really seem to get eating from the water column right away.

Mine loved cleaning the glass, cleaning the rocks, spirulina brine, and never did eat algae sheets.

As stated above, I found mine didn't start eating well until I added smaller foods, especially pellets
