Does anybody have a good picture of a full adult?
Mine is about 5 inches and I was wondering if this is it. I know they have the more vibrant colors as a Juvenal , but was told they kind of get some stripes back as a full adult.

Big black and ugly is adult coloration IMO. They get big ugly lips too. One of the worst transformations of juv to adult I know of

Here you go, Ray. Probably not "full" adult, but it I've had him for about 4.5 years. Got him when in his full juvi colors. Excuse the algae on the glass.

There was beautiful picture of one a few weeks ago. I will see if I can find the picture. As far a personal opinion, I think the adult colors are wonderful. You can not get a fish with the same look.

Thanks LuvAngels88 but that is not full adult. Here is what mine looks like..Oh and by the way ,I call mine "Goober" because of his mouth. but I wouldn't call it ugly. just not as striking as a juvenile

mine changes color quite abit...sometimes the the blue lines are present other time mine is mostly black....I think they are underrated personally....and their passive attitude also makes up for lack up beauty-if any

Ugly? You peeps have not seen a healthy adult, IMO.

The one at the Long Beach Aquarium looks EXACTLY like this:

Matt, is that ur fish?...
I only wish!

No, that is a particularly attractive photo of a specimen taken from Bob Fenner's site.

I have a 125, and I only have one tang: a Tennetti tang which I also think is beautiful.

Well-behaved, non-problematic tangs (like the chevron), imo, seem more beautiful than they might otherwise be simply because the experience of owning them is that much more enjoyable. For me, it's just like people. Nice people are that much more attractive.

Also, do bear in mind that the color pattern is variable amongst adult Chevrons, and not all are as striking.

A lighter morph:

A nice adult chevron is one of the best looking fish out there IMO. The jet black with faint electric blue striping looks unreal in person.
