Chevron tang picture (full adult)

Well-behaved, non-problematic tangs (like the chevron), imo, seem more beautiful than they might otherwise be simply because the experience of owning them is that much more enjoyable. For me, it's just like people. Nice people are that much more attractive.

Well said Matt.

I have wrestled with far too many tangs The Industry considers "gorgeous" to learn that the beauty of tangs fades pretty quickly when you're: breaking up fights, treating disease, dealing with dietary issues, flushing them down a toilet, etc.

Ugly? You peeps have not seen a healthy adult, IMO.

The one at the Long Beach Aquarium looks EXACTLY like this:

Mine is really beautiful, he look just like this in person. This cannot be capture with camera. I have not try flash photo yet. Maybe I will take flash photo of him this Sunday.

Around how much inches are they beginning to morph ? And how long it takes from 1.5" to adult size ?

Thanks

Depending how what size tank and how much you have for them to graze on? My last one took 1 year. They are the best algae eaters in the world.

I really like the adult chevron coloration plus adults are cheaper than juveniles. Give it a healthy environment and it'll reward you with amazing coloration.

I got a good picture of my adult Chevron. Here he is. Biggest fish in my. He looks better than this in real live
