chevron tang

i have a 135g ready to be stocked with fish. i currently have a 55g with a purple tang, sixline wrasse, lawnmower blenny, maroon clown, CB angel, and a lyretail anthias. fish have been in 55g from 3 months to 8 months, so all of my fish are healthy and ok. i would very much like to get a chevron tang. i know nothing of how aggressive or hardy these fish are and was hoping someone would help me out. i know that a purple tang can be aggressive so i would put the chevron in the 135g first with my lawnmower blenny, clown, and anthias. i would then add the CB, then sixline, then the purple. would this work out or should i go with a different tang? i know of some less aggressive tangs but i love the chevron but dont know anything about them. thanks for any help.

I have had a two chevron tangs , one in each of my last two reef tanks. they are great tangs, also wonderful rock polishers, neather of my two had bad attiudes, which now they share the tank with a purple and a clown, although they do change color when they mature, mostly black with light orange, nothing like junivual chevrons which have a lot or orange. my recent one is a mature cheveron around 3''.

ty carnavor. i know they are expensive and i just didnt want to buy one and have my purple tang beat the crap out it. i had my CB for about 8 months then added my purple tang 4 months after. the CB beat the hell out of my purple to the point i was getting concerned. long story short, when the purple is out the CB stays clear lol. thanks again.

The purple tang "will" show aggression to the chevron. How much? That's anyones guess.

I added a purple and chevron at same time, both were same size. They were living together fine at LFS for some time but in a bigger tank. They squabble from time to time, with the Chevron getting some minor slashes from purple's tail every now and then. Howover, Chevron justs continues to go about his bus. Chevron is way more active cleaning rocks, sand and glass, and is now considerably bigger than purple. Chevron way nicer personality IMO. Also when I added new fish, Chevron not interested purple antagonistic. I'd add Chevron first and get a bigger one than the purple, then they'll likely be ok.
