Chevron Tangs

Anybody have experience with these beautiful tangs? pics?

Any input on how they get along with say a purple tang, or a yellow tang, or even a kole tang.

Not all just a pair of any of the above. Think small fish in a 75g or larger fish in a 180g/190g.

The chevron is kind of the odd duck of the bristletooth tangs, it gets a lot bigger than most of the other species in the genus and it is one of the more aggressive as well IME. These fish can and do come in quite small but will eventually need a larger tank than most bristletooth tangs.

Here is a so so picture of my Chevron Tang. This guy is always cruising the tank. One of my favorite fish!!!

This is not a good picture , but this is my Chevron,Black and Yellow all in a 265. they get along just fine.My chevron is about 5 inches now and by far the tanks best cleaner.

I'm really considering a chevron & a purple... just worried that even in their future home, 180 or 190, that they may fight.

I've probably pushed the limit on stocking. In time, I may have to trade out my vlamingii as he is still growing. In addn, I've got 4 bangaiis, 2 squirrels, foxface, 1 maroon, green wrasse, jawfish, brown birdnose, hogfish, h.tusk, pair of janss' pipes, 2 eng. gobies, zebra moray & blu ribbon eel. As far as the chevron & purple in a 180 or 190, if you have enough rockwork, I think it would be fine.

I have a chevron, yellow, black, purple, regal and a Dejardin in a 240 and have for over 5 yrs and all do well together. The chevron though as an adult is not very attractive anymore. That's just me though others still find them attractive in adult coloration.

the LFS has a chevron in there 180 with a vlamingii it's fully adult with some other fish. they have had there's for about 10 years now i think it should be fine with a purple in a 180, but don't have personal experience.
