Chicks & SLASH

I know why people come to the eastside! Usually its at 3 a.m. A good LFS would be great. Velkos is fine but he needs to get into the Frags and SPS more. Nemos in granite isn't that great either. Someone needs to open a STL style store. Big, full of stock, and lots of frags. AT seems more like a place people starting out in the hobby benefit from. I do like the place but as my skill gets better I need nicer stuff to keep my attention.

Isn't Clayton Pet Emporium the place that has like zero parking?

I'll probably have to take it easy on the beer selection though since I'll still be left foot driving then!

Yep, Clayton Pet has little in the way of parking:lol:

Was that your hubby in the picture? If so, bring him along and have him be the designated driver:beer:

It took about five years to finish the tanks and equipment room in the basement, still need to figure out the trimwork with Capo so it looks all good and finished. I am always open to folks from the club stopping by to BS, have a few drinks and talk reefs:)

BTW, where do you practice nursing at, or if you want send me a PM as I am a nurse at St. John's.

Been there done that:rolleyes: For some reason the little punks (like Stupid:D) always want to pick fights with the big guys:lol: Fortunately, I am older and wiser now and avoid those places:D

It seriously lacks in parking... I was going there once right before close and had to call them and ask them to wait for me to find a parking spot!

Yes - that's my husband in the photo... He's REALLY not into the reef stuff - I asked him to come to the frag swap one time and he was pretty absolute about not wanting to go. He hates when I spend any money on the tanks and just has zero interest in it... SO - I doubt he'll be coming along! Maybe one day I'll be able to get him into it - but not yet I'm afraid!

I think you're thinking of my niece... I mentioned once that my niece was in nursing school and I was helping her set up a tank (I ended up giving her my 12g... and scubabill seriously hooked her up with some corals!)... Anyway - I'm not a nurse... work in investments...

Oh - and next time that's going on - I want to come :) I really do want to see your system sometime - it just looks so cool - what patience you've had to have to set that baby up...

Goes to show you the memory I have:D It is lacking:lol:

Does your husband like pizza and beer:D??????

Reggae fish, Schplitter and Stupids reef are all women... :D

Well we've all seen stupid's pic in the skort. Don't know about the other two.

Anyway, not to put down any lfs, although I agree with much that has been said about our side and what it has to offer. It does look like we have enough localized people to throw together a carpool to the pizza nights, that way you wouldn't be walking in "alone". Only thing is some people like to stay later than others. I know I will be one of those people in a few short weeks :D

Oh dont worry I am sure many people downloaded it and will put it up every once in a while

Chicks in SLASH just means Nook has to go down to a 3 course meal from seven, to accommodate more room at the table.

and don't forget Rich1972, remember Jamie said she dresses him up on occasion and makes him walk the streets.

Don't forget the most important rule of Pizza night.

Do Not get in between Nanook and his pizza!

Slash is not responsible for any missing fingers, arms, legs do to the aggressive feeding nature of Nanook.

dont be scared and we dont bite

Don't trust this guy. I know from first hand the sexual assaults he has made on Nook's system.

I am woman and am active hobbiest. I do all the work for the tank, my husband wants nothing to do with it. I built the stand and canopy myself, do all the maintanence, buy all the coral and fish, etc for the tank, noone else helps me at all. I do notice that more men seem interested in the tank than the women though as well.

I don't make it out to the pizza nights especially due to recently having a baby and just lack of time to do those type of things but just cause I don't participate in the meetings don't make me any less of the hobbiest
