Chiller Outside the house

I'm considering a new tank, but the Chiller would need to be placed outside the house and I would be drilling holes in the wall for either the Drop-in Sump Coil or the water lines for the in-line hookup kind. And the electricity of course.

Has anybody done that?

Note that it will be in a shaded area, but would it be efficient if the outside temps are much higher than the inside temp? Outside temp could go to 100 in the shade (some days).

My Current tank has the Chiller inside the Boiler-Room (a small closet inside the house which is ventilated and has fans to cycle the air to the attic. It's been running good. But lately running a LOT!

Thoughts?

I keep my chiller out on my patio. It's about 11' away from the tank. I keep it under a flower bench for cover from the rain and cold.
For me it's perfect.

I have mine outside, and works awsome. In line would be best, recomend you wrap the pvc pipe with that foam insulation they use for AC lines. Nice & quite and no extra heat in the house

I keep my chiller under the crawl space. It stays nice and cool under the house and vents the heat away from the chiller through the foundation vents.

would it be safe to run an outside chiller if the the outside temperatures stays above 100 for most of the day here in the Desert?

Yes, I live in the high desert and our temps are frequently over 100 degrees. My chiller is outside in a shed. Actually, I should add some vent holes in the shed, as it gets extremely hot in there during the summer when the chiller is running.

However, it works fine.
