Chiller question

I am looking at purchasing a chiller for my system - I am testing it right now and am wondering what temperature the water should be coming out of it at? I set it to cool to 75 degrees and it started at 81 - the water coming out is at around 77 degrees? Hmmm 0 something does not make sense.

It won't come out at 75 right away, it takes time to cool the tank. It might only get a couple of degrees per pass depending on the chiller, the flow rate etc.

What he said. It is not all in one pass especially if making a rather dramatic change in either direction.

Steve, thanks for this - I am new to chillers and doing this hit or miss. Seems like more misses - but that is, I suspect, the nature of the hobby.
