Hey everyone,
So I really dont want to have to get one, but I think I need a chiller. Today isn't that hot (well 86 or so) and the tank is over 80 (80.6). Now I know that that isn't such a terrible temp, but I'm just concerned about what it will get to during the hot summer. I also dont have an air conditioner in that room (its an open room connected to one with an AC), so I dont want to have to run the AC all day long even when I'm not home.
I've been using frozen water bottles to try and regulate the temp manually and its a pain in the butt and still allows for temp swings. Should I get a chiller? If so, what type and what size. My tank is 65 gallons (53 gallons after displacement).
I was thinking going for something like the Arctica. As far as size I'd rather go bigger so that it will only kick on a few times for short periods rather than run all day. Also, if and when I upgrade I'd like that chiller to be able to work on there as well.
Let me know what you think!
Thanks!
