Chiller ?'s

Hello,

I order all my dry goods from you guys. I'm now in the market for a chiller. I was a bit confused by the following:

and this:

which states:
Item # HP BTU Electrical Flow(gph) Inlet/Outlet
CU02645 1/4hp 3250 115V/3.5A 300-600 3/4" & 5/8"

A little over 700 extra BTU adds another 3 amps??"

Thanks for your post, I apologize for the delay in answering your question. I did a little investigating by going on to Current Usa's website to compare the two units in question, From the description on their web page I did see the difference but I also noticed that the CU02645 is much slimmer and smaller in design which leads me to believe it is a bit more energy efficient than the other unit in question even though they are the same horsepower. I also noticed that the temperature range 50-85 compared to 60-80 for the CU2604. In my opinion, I would tend to go with the tower ( CU2645) because of the energy consumption and of course the space it takes up. Keep in mind this all depends on the size of your tank.
