I am looking for a accurate chiller thermostat to run my chiller. Mine Takes to long to turn on/off. I want one that is only a couple degrees difference.

Thanks Bill looks like a nice unit. I would love something less expencive. If I cant find any thing I might go with that.

Just think Joe you have all that surplus cash from watching your electric meter spin backwards!

You can probably find them cheaper elsewhere. Aquatic Ecosystems doesn't tend to be the cheapest ;)

I use the Ranco controller. It has worked well for me. Dr Foster and Smith carries it. It's cheaper then the one from Aquatic Ecosystems and it appears to have the same functionality. I don't use it for a chiller, just for fans.

Joe,
Just tell Cindy to pony up on a RK2 for you :)
Or buy Dexter's for 1/2 price when he get's an itch for something else :lol2:

Joe, If it were me I'd try and pick up am aquacontroller III or Jr. used. These control EVERYTHING. I would never attempt reefing without a controller of some sort, my stuff wouldnt make it a month.

It's the same controller ;) Like I said, they can be had cheaper elsewhere. Heck, Cindy should be able to get you one wholesale ;)

I also just picked up the dual stage Ronco.

I also bought this item:
"U-Tube with Directional Return 1/2 inch - 3/4 inch"

The reason, is that for an in-line chiller, I place a water pump in the tank, but the return hose has nothing heavy to attach to the tank. I was afraid it can fall out. So this u-tube also has an anti-syphon hole. However, have not used either the ronko or the u-tube yet.
