Here you go

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/317...20w-23-blue-4-violet-and-19-white-9-blue.html

I liked my dimmers that way, so if you're content just get it.

Edit: Since I'm doing mainly lps, zoas, shrooms, rics, and other softies I decided to use one fixture for a 48inch long 75g. Someone on another forum has done it and raised it roughly 8-10inches to get a good spread and his stuff are already growing and more colorful then his MH (according to him). I'll let you guys know how that pans out in a month or so for me. lol

Thanks for the link ihigh. I like your ratio, i think i'll order this one too.

I pulled the trigger on these. http://www.aliexpress.com/product-g...ef-marine-organism-saltwater-wholesalers.html
Cindy was a great help to me and was very patient while we talked through various ratios through email and even offed to communicate via skype to work through the detail more efficiently. I went with a ratio of: Dimmer one: 12Blue470nm, 3Purple Blue430nm, 12Royal Blue455nm (total 27leds)
Dimmer two: 20white20000k, 8Royal Blue455nm (total 28leds)
Just purchased three fixtures for my 180. I may need one more but we'll see. She also worked with me on the price.:bounce1:

I picked up the 30 blue, 25 white d120... I quickly set it up tonight before having to head out and eh... I wish I went with the 32 blue, 4 violet and 19 white. The white is super, super white and while I don't have anything under it yet (working on that,) I still would rather have much more blue/violet.

The fixture seems very well made though, and I am still happy, so far, with my purchase.

Here is a link to the d120 i got a month or two ago.

The whites definately are not too white, but they are, Blue(460) / White (10000-12000k)
not sure what kelvin whites you went with.

Next time i may replace 4 of the whites with violet to add a little pink.

I am not sure if its just my eyes but I swear the light looks different after about a week and few days. But not in a bad way its almost as if the white dimmed down some... And now its a closer look to what I had wanted.

This could be true cause with halides I believe within a few days the look will change once they "burn in" some . so I don't know if this is what happened with my leds but I swear it lookd different but in a good way! Unless I'm just used to it and its grown on me it seems more blue like I wanted it but id still want a tad more blue but better then when I first fired it up.... Weird but I thought id share

thats great to hear! you sure you aren't just lying to yourself though :P? haha just kidding! now hopefully my lights come in and look great!

I ordered one from Hendy with the 4 uv leds. Found an online coupon for Alibaba ($5). I'll compare it as best I can to my DIY 56-3watt Cree led light. Will be hard because my DIY is 4' long, with lenses.

I would say it is probably your eyes and mind adjusting to the change in lighting. I know that if you look at two different white lights one being 5,000K then go into anther room with 7,200K lights in it you will not notice a difference. but if you had two light sources right next to each other the 7,200K will look blue compared to the 5,000K. Then to make things wilder if you replace the 5,000K with a 10,000K bulb the 10,000K will look blue and the 7,200K will look yellow. This is bacuase you eyes naturaly adjust to some extent.

Hey all,
I just placed an order for these:

http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/546432064/2012_dimmable_cree_led_aquarium_light.html

I got the cool whites changed to neutral whites with a leg kit and shipping was $227. I liked the three dimmable switches and they were more than willing to customize colors. I havent received it yet (Just ordered on Friday and they had to customize with the neutrals) but am excited and will let you all know what it looks like.

This is for a BC29 if it matters.

Jason

I've been using 3 of those for about two months now and all I can say is wow!!

I can't understand why guys are still buying just blue/white, the red/green might not be proven but what until you just adjust it and see how big of a difference it makes to the eye.

I'm super pleased with them and haven't even turned them up past 50% yet and my sps growth has really surprised me, it's exploded, even stuff on my sand bed 24"s down.

Anyone ever do a spectral analysis of what these fixtures actually put out?

Back when I worked in a lab, I had access to a calibrated spectral analyzing system. I brought my MH fixtures into work and ran them through the paces and they were definitely as advertised.

Do the folks cranking out these LED fixtures have proof of what light they actually emit? It would vary with each LED in the array so they could come up with quite a variety I would think.

Cheers,
G.

I'm torn between getting these and a DIY setup.

My tank is a 65G tall (36" long x 18" wide x 24" tall). I have a center brace on the tank, so I'd be into 2 of these units.

So now I'd have 2 x 55 leds, doing the same thing that I can get from a 48 LED diy system. 110 LEDs vs 48 LEDs?

Price is a wash, as a diy system will run me just over $300, same as 2 of these units. Only advantage I see here is that it's a ready built unit, that looks nice and clean.

Personally, I like a 14K look in my tank. Not overly blue. What would you guys recommend as far as combinations go? Anyone have one that's more on the softer side and can post pics?

Do you have any pics of your tank with these lights? http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/546432064/2012_dimmable_cree_led_aquarium_light.html
I like the idea of both red/green .

And I have to pull the trigger on a light fixture this week,
Thanks for any input.

So, I been talking to Sam on and off, not sure where my violets are. I was told that he shipped to a member named Ian on here and Ian was going to ship to me, well I still can't get in reach with Ian (if you are still reading this thread send me a pm). But in other news with my A6, I have growth on my monti and red planet so the A6 can grow corals that's for sure.

When you say 34b 17w4v is that the blue or royal blue? I'm thinking 2 for my 75. My canopy is probly 10 inches over the water which optics should I get?

I have been reading this , and now I am really interested in getting some leds. So my question is, would I need 2 units or just 1 for a 40 Breeder .I have softies, lps, and sps ? Also to factor in is I have a 6 bulb t5 , and I love my color combo which is 3 ATI blue+, 1 ATI Coral Plus, 1 ATI Aqua Blue Special, 1 ATI Pure actinic 420 for that neon pop...

So with my color combo on my t5's, what led combo do I need to get close to the same as my t5's ? Also if I need 1 or 2 of these units also.

Thanks a bunch,
Chris

My blue are all royal blues but you can mix them if ya want some blues some royals....

And to uf gators I'm not sure about which colors matching your t5 combos but one will be pleanty for the breeder....you in florida? If so where at?

OK, I started reading this thread from the beginning, got to about page 25 then started skipping to the end. After being completely confused, excited, then burned out and ready to quit I finally think I know what I want.

I have a 20 gallon long that is 30 inches long, 12 inches wide and 12 inches deep so I want a long skinny light that may only need 1 watt lights since my tank is so shallow. I just e-mailed Sam and we shall see what he says.

Travis, I forgot to give you credit for e-mailing him but I definitely mentioned RC.

See some contradictory info with the type of lighting brand. It states Cree in a couple places and then Bridgelux under the Led type specification chart. Just wanted to make that note unless anyone has reservations and needs clarification.
