WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO USE THIS TO HOOK UP TO THE LIGHTS TO BE ABLE TO USE A CONTROLLER.....JUST ASKING NOT SMART ABOUT THIS STUFF AT ALL
Sam just sent me a link for the D120 with DIY Ratio I had him do for me.
37blue+14white+2UV+2Violet
3 to 1 blue to white ratio so it should be 17k to 20k in color.
I have a friend with a D120 with a 2 to 1 blue to white ratio and its way to white. He runs his blue at 100% and his white at 50% to get the color he wants.

I do like these lights and would consider them but I don't like the way it's wired with all the LEDs on one switch and moonlights on the other switch. I wonder if they could add a third switch for either the blue LEDs or white LEDS. Then I could use a timer and have the blue turn on first and then the white instead of all at once. Make sense?

Dobbs, I did notice that as well. That is the one point that does not sit well with me, but if what Glee states he heard is accurate at a good price point my decision may be made :bounce2: .
What does everyone think of the green and red spectrum LEDs? Good/bad for algae growth, aesthetically pleasing to the eye, or spurn coral growth? Does anyone have insight or personal experience on this matter?
jjim, i guess it couldn't hurt to post their prices...the shipping and "mode" fee killed the deal.
"For my suggestion and your design they share the same price:
Unit price: USD155
Freight to CA USA : USD59
Together: USD 214
Two pcs price: USD 310
Freight to CA USA : USD 81

By the way, for your design new mode under 10pcs, our factory will charge a mode fee USD48 to open these mode. And when you next order than or including 15pcs, we will return the mode fee to you. Wish you can understand.

A semi local shop is selling these. http://www.marinesolutionsinc.com/c...page=flypage.tpl&product_id=70&category_id=10
Ive seen them on a 90 and they are bright! They look nice, not bad for 3W cree LEDs, they also have 80 degree optics.

Just took apart my A6 last night and desolder 2Rb and added 2 420nm violets, gave my greens an extra pop. Gotta give it to Sam, very good customer services sent me the violets as promised A+ service.
Anyone have any insight on these lights?
Hey Guys, I Was looking at Buying leds for my 18x18x10 reef, could anyone help me out? I have looked at the d120, the nova 4 and the This But i have no idea which would suit my tank the best.... I like the d120 because its Cheap, and dimmable, and i also like the Linked one because it has the clustered leds and has a heat sink, Is there any way i could add a dimmer to that? Also Is there a better fixture for my tank that i have overlooked? THANK you all VERY much!
Looks like a good fixture with a controller. Ratio 2rb:1w or 3rb:1w with a few violets added in. Looks like the best, cheapest option with controller for a 48".
The thing with built in controller fixtures from China... if the controller goes, the whole light will stop working, and you might need to ship the light back for warranty... which would cost a fortune.
