Now you guys have me worried about the lights I purchased. I went with two Twilight fixtures fitted with 60 degree optics for my 21 inch high tank. Should I try to contact Lyn and get this changed to 90? I was thinking of hanging these about 6 inches above the water if that makes a difference.

From Simon:
In theory, the 60 degree optics cover a tank over 70cm in width, if you hanging the light 50~60cm above the bottom of the tank, so I think 60 degree optics is OK.

How do you get in contact with these guys? I was thinking about getting a twilight. I want a heat sink, controller, blues, whites, reds, green and violet 420's.

Has anyone recieved a set of lights with the controller yet to see how user friendly it is? I personally don't need a controller besides my Alex to turn it on and off but I was just wondering if the built in controller is more hassle then it's worth to program.

We don't know yet. What I do know is, that the fixture is on sale this week with a 10% discount, so if you haven't ordered one yet, now would be a good time. Saves almost $30, and they won't adjust to the sale price if you bought one already.

My lights arrived today!

I need to build a light stand. My tank will be on the top of a shelving unit so I was thinking I could use pvc and drill it and use screws to hold it to the sides of the four posts. Then it will go up about 30"s and over to hang the light over the tank. I will use T's and elbows to tie it all together going over the top. Do you think this is doable? If so what size pvc should I go with (will 1/2" be enough)?

The one question I do have, do I have enough blue, should I go with lower k numbers on the whites to soften the color balance?
Cheers
