There are a few things I would watch out for.

1. It looks like it only comes with one power cord. That will make it difficult to have different on/off times with color and white lights.
2. Do they have warranty serviced here in the states or do you ship it back to China if there is an issue.

I just purchase a full spectrum light from Reef Radiance about a week ago similar to the one you are looking at, it has two power cords, 2 year warranty, and it is serviced in USA. I paid $129 and it looks like they are running the special till 9-13. It looks like they are also including a free full spectrum refugium light if you order by midnight 9-13. Might want to check them out.

EVERYTHING is made in china!! I bet anyone here you cant walk out your door without 3 things you are wearing made in CHINA.

Good Reading.....thats a horrible story, and while i feel horrible for that person, i do not believe that is a considerable worry, but a 1 out of 1,000,000 happening. Darn near every "USA" led was made in China and imported. Get a clue. Look at your lights, guaranteed, there are many parts if not all of it that was made in china

I'm not sure about this particular unit, but I bought one that is similar on Ebay. The only thing I don't like about it is that the fans run continously. They can be a little loud. The blue/white light spectrum is completely controllable because they have 2 different power cords.

Yes Really! That IS good reading as it could save someones life! There is a lot more stories out there on these and other CHEAP PRICED, CHEAP MADE Chinese lights.

Yes, my lights have a few Chinese parts, but was 100% made in the great USA by an American! My shoes and even my pants were also made in USA, but my underwear were not, BUT I don't plug in my underwear and leave it unattended around salt water!

I have seen a few models of Chinese made LED's that I would own, I would not buy them but if someone gave them to me, I'd take them. BUT. there are MANY others I would not have in my house, including most eBay LED's. This is of course my opinion derived partially from my experience.

The purpose this forums is to share information and that is what I am doing, you could easily do the same without trashing someone's comment!!:mtool:

There are a lot of people here that are totally unaware of these dangers and my link is not to trash those that use these lights, just to inform them. These eBay lights have NO support and if something goes wrong, you'd be lucky to get anything back if it stops working within a year.

Further, I have wasted a lot of money trying to save money in this hobby,
Unfortunately, you get what you pay for!

Not all LEDs are made in China. A couple are made in the USA. But most of them are. The big difference between an eBay Chinese LED lights and the ones the get sold from a aquarium company's but made in China is the eBay lights have no liability.

Thanks for all the info!! I have been researching these lights a lot and I am still up in the air on what unit I want to purchase.
