Great comments and since Fredfish pointed out heatsinks I will share some information from an email that was sent to me from a LED manufacturer trying to get my business.
Our cold forging aluminum heatsink with thermal conductivity 226w/m.k, "company A" is die cast aluminum heatsink with thermal conductivity 72w/m.k, our high bay heat dissipation is three times faster than "company A", it means our high bay's lifespan could last longer than "company A"
Now this doesn't apply to aquarium LEDs directly but I just wanted to further explain the differences that can be found between LED fixtures that otherwise look the same.
And you cannot visually tell the difference between the 2 processes that are explained above.
