I just found out my water supply company publishes annual reports on the water quality. Here's what I found for my area specifically to chloramines:

Chloramines
Sample Date: 2013
Average detection: ppm 1.2
Range of detections: 0.9 - 1.5
Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL): MRDL = 4
Maximum Contaminant Level Goal (MCLG): MRDLG = 4
Violation Y/N: N
Major sources in drinking water: Water additive used to control microbes

While I dont know how much is being removed by my RODI, I've read Randy's article (http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-11/rhf/feature/index.htm)and it seems like 1.2ppm enough to be concerned??

I lived in a city with chloramine-treated water for a while, and my standard RO/DI seemed to be fine. I never had any problems.

Thanks Jonathan. I myself have always had problems with my reef tanks :-). So just one of the many root causes I'm exploring.

If you get a chlorine kit and measure the output, please let us know what it says. Data points always are interesting.
