Chloroquine Phosphate/Quinine Sulfate

Looking for advice from anyone who has successfully treated Ich with one of these or any other "alternative" method. My PB Tang is rubbing again (mostly around the head area & gills), after almost 6 weeks in copper. I administered a f/w dip last night and it's not Flukes. I'll probably wait until I see white spots to confirm but this marks the first time copper has failed me in 30+ years.

Was it symptomatic in quarantine or only after placement in the display tank?

I have good results with the tank transfer method for crytocaryon irrtans.

OK here's the short version: I have a PB Tang that displayed symptoms (white spots) of Crypto in the DT. So I QT all my fish and treated with Coppersafe. I have been treating since 1/1 and only yesterday has the level dipped below 1.5ppm. However, I've tested every night since 1/11, and I can confirm that the copper was at 2.0ppm from 1/11 to 2/8. I only started dropping it because the Tang hadn't eaten for a week and was starting to look really bad.

The Tang has been twitching her head ever since I put her in QT. I administered 3 rounds of Prazi hoping it might be Flukes, no change in her behavior at all. F/w dip from last night rules out Flukes. But her head twitching is getting worse everyday and now she's rubbing. What other conclusion can I draw other than she still has Crypto in her gills? All of the other fish have looked fine from Day 1, no symptoms at all. Not even in the DT.

I've thought about tank transfer but if the Crypto hasn't fallen out of her gills after this long, what is 3 days going to do?! And I don't think I'm too comfortable with hypo. I don't own an ATO or any calibration fluid. I use RODI to calibrate my refractometer.
