Chocolate chip starfish. Reef safe?

Definitely not reef safe. I see some people unknowingly put them in reefs before they know better, eventually with disastrous results.

No but their definately Harlequin Shrimp safe!!!!!

That's not true either. Some harlequins don't eat them as readily as genus Linkia, but they can adapt to eat them when there isn't availability of the other. I would not trust them around choc chips.

I had one in my reef for ovcer a year with out any issues then all of the sudden he started messing with my coral so now he lives in my bro-in-laws FOwLR

Even if you have one in with a reef and it appears to not be messing with it, you have to be careful because some corals will start to emit some toxin that could be bad for certain things in your tank. I think I heard the same thing about mixing certain types of corals...I don't know the exact physics of this, but something to look into if you're tempting the rules of nature. ; )
