Would an ai prime light be sufficient to achieve coral growth on a jbj 30

Of course. But do your research on all your options in that price range and read reviews. I hear those units have a pretty intense "disco effect" in lieu of the "shimmer". I went with a pre-built retrofit kit from Steve's LEDs and HIGHLY recommended them.
