Chopping Bta?

What happens if you chop one in half and cut off a few tenacles? Do they grow back? When they split do they tear off tenacles?

I believe it's possible but pretty grotesque. It's not like fragging a coral, it's an animal with a mouth. Just weird IMO.

You are fine. Just cut it in half in one slice. Do not saw through the anemone. Use either a long razor or a sterilized sharp ceramic knife. The tentacle lose won't affect the anemone. Keep in mind that not all Bubble Tip anemones take well to being cut. I've certainly seen more high end nems just die from being cut than I would like to think about, especially those yellow ones.

If it is one of your infernos you can then mail one of the halves to me for "safe keeping" ;)

My original bta is now four. Why don't you just pamper it and feed it fresh wild scallops, shrimp and fish on a weekly basis. Just the thought of cutting one of those fleshy animals... eewwww.

Don't have plans to do any chopping it wondering why one anemone has deformed tentacles. I see a few clones that just look funny and wondering if a natural slit looks different from a chopping
