Chris Q's Humble Reef

Post a pic maybe we can trouble shoot. You using frameless or face frame hinges? Offset? If you have no idea what I'm talking about there's your issue;)

Here's a picture of half the door, I'll just pretend like I know what you're talking about lol.

Let me start of with a little disclosure.... the following pictures will make it seem like I'm copying rovsters stand... but the truth is, that's pretty much exactly what I'm doing lol.

Figures out the doors finally, decided not to go with a euro hinge and try a different type that still let's me fully conceal the hinge. So far I have the doors done and the corner trim. I stupidly forgot to cut out the holes for the side door so I'll probably get to that today and try not to mess up the top trim that will go around the tank.

Mine are compact face frame hinges they are s bit of s hybrid design, slightly different than what you have but what you did seems to work. If you want some unsolicited advice, get some stainless screws for the hinges. I saw that recommendation on another thread and I realize now why I made that mistake. My screws are all rusted out and I'm afraid removing them soon down the road will be an issue.

Well, his stand looks pretty sweet so I dont fault you for doing that lol

Ok, all doors done all trim done, just need to do some final touches for cosmetics and then I can start staining. Also good word today that the tank is also almost done, just needs some final silicone touches and clean up. I'm picking up the tank this weekend, probably on Friday.

Well I came across an interesting issue. I accidentally had my sump built too long, and wouldn't be able to take it out if I put the electrical section on the side like I wanted to. So after some thinking and suggestions from some friends I built the electrical section on the back of the tank and put it on sliders so that I can just slide it out when needed. Now I can move the sump as needed and have more space on the interior of the stand for dosing containers and whatever other things we throw in our stands.
