I was directed over here by Paul (captbunzo) since he and I chat and post on each others threads often on here. I was asking him if he knew anything about the behaviour of Christmas wrasse (ornate) specifically their aggresiveness toward smaller fish.
I had a six-line wrasse for about a month and a half but he/she eventually got incredibly too aggressive with my two false percs that had been in the tank when I added it. It started off just pushing them out of the way during feeding time but got to the point where it would hide in the rocks and then dart across and peg one in the side if it came to it's "side" of the tank. Luckily I was able to catch it and return it to the LFS to be marked as "does not mix well with clowns."
I'm just wondering if any of you have kept a Christmas wrasse and your experiences with them. They have two beautiful ones at the LFS here in Charleston, SC and just wanted to try and get more info.
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
