Chromis in QT

An online vendor accidentally doubled my order so I ended up with 6 blue green chromis and 2 true perculas.

After 45 minutes in a Formalin MS bath, they all went into my 10 gal QT.
After 2 weeks of ick shield and 1 week of Metroplex 1 of the chromis died

Could it have died from stress of being picked on by the other chromis or from uronema? It looked darker, with pales spots , hiding and rapidly breathing from day 1.

I would of thought that ick shield and Metroplex would have treated uronema among other potential diseases.

Now what is the best thing to do with the rest of the fish in QT?

The chromis could definitely been killed by one of the other fish, though without seeing the fish it is hard to be sure.

Chromis, different kinds, do kills off each other often. A group will usually focus on one member until it dies then moves one to another member. Having seen it happen, the experience can be both sad and gruesome.

Doesn't formalin work with uronema? That's what I always thought. Although if you see open wounds, avoid formalin.

It didn't work for me as a one time dip.
I'm currently combining it with tank transfers on new fish. Will report back although it could also mean the fish never had uronema.

Chromis in QT

I was thinking about doing another formalin bath then transfer to a sterile QT with ich shield and metroplex for another 3 weeks then into DT
Is this a good idea?
On the other hand i wonder if not putting them immediately into DT may be too stressful.
