Chromis pale area on head

Have two green chromis in QT for about 10 days now. One has developed a pale spot which seems to be growing. Picture below.

Both fish seemed to have lost their appetite.

QT has CP at 40mg/gal for about the same time (10days).

Water parameters seem good, alert badge shows <0.05 ammonia. Nitrate about 10ppm.

Anyone know what this is and what to do?

Depigmentation is a symptom of Uronema marinum. Google Uronema, and if you think that matches what you are seeing with this fish up the CP dosage to 60mg/gal. But you may need to go up to 80mg/gal to successfully treat Uronema (it's nasty).

Uronema was my first thought when I saw this picture. For some reason, green chromis are especially susceptible to it.

Thanks all. The affected fish died overnight. The other one is not showing any patches but has lost appetite. But here is the big questions now:

1. What should I do with the other one (currently not showing any symptoms).
2. What should I do with this QT after these fish? Water change? Breakdown and startover (I'd like to avoid that as I have a nice cycle going).

I do have UV at my disposal which I can hook up and blast the water column if that is a way to go.

UV will be ineffective. Six weeks of fallow should work. The other fish, unless treated, is likely to succumb. Uronema seems like the problem as my comrades have indicated.

Thanks, but I can teardown and get a new cycle up in 3-4 weaks correct? Is there any advantage to going fallow with the current QT for 6+?

For a QT, I would just break down, sterilize, dry and restart. You can always re-seed your biofilter with a product like Bio-spira. Or, inoculate some media in your sump to use in the QT.
