Chromis school

How many green chromis would make a nice school in a 40g breeder, I was thinking 5 maybe? Currently I only have a pair of percs with a cherub angel and a neon goby in a QT taink. I may add a 6 line wrasse later. I'd like to focus on the corals at this point but I figured chromis would add a nice school in a 40g.

..I would skip on the wrasse, 5 is a nice shoal...if you are running alot of water.
any LR?
...to me tht's alot of fish , but what do I know..
..if you have alot of filtration & WM it may work

how about some glass cardinals they shoal pretty nicely in some tanks i have seen, chromis are cool too but seems they like to kill each other off

I had 3 in my 37 and they were fine. Just make sure you keep them in odd numbers. I would stay away from the 6-line they turn into devils!

That seems like alot of fish for a 40g. Be careful with the angel, it may nip at your corals. Sixlines are great when they're young, but seem to get more agressive as they get bigger.

The angel will harass the new fish at first, but should leave them alone in time. Adding 5 chromis will probably just result in 2 eventually.

I liked the cardinals (Threadfin) but they are pricey. My LFS has some for 24.99ea, thats just a bit much IMO for a cardinal. I can get Bangaiis for 9.99. I may pick up a small fairy wrasse, i've just always liked the 6 lines. The cherub angel I have is a pushover, he doesn't bother anyone and I've never seen him bother corals or my clam...not to say he won't one day though but so far so good.
