Chronicle of my 180g Aquarium

Thanks guys.

The biggest thing I would change is eliminating the sandbed and going with black starboard/HDPE board. The sandbed has been nothing but a pain and it's too shallow to be of any use for denitrification.

Feel free to ask questions, I don't mind.

I would love to see a picture of your Peacock Mantis!
Also do you have an updated opinion on the reef-resh system?

I'll try to get some pictures up later or in the morning.

The Reef-resh system didn't work for me.. not entirely sure why but I have a theory. My theory(s) are specific to my tank and I'm sure there are people that are happy with it. Just didn't really do anything for me personally.

Nice peacock mantis shrimp..
I had for about a year. It was probably 6+"... sadly it died a few months ago presumably from old age.

Ken, thanks for the link.. I'll be following forsure.

Dan, Thanks.. he molted into a deeper green color recently even though I kinda liked the orangish color, heh. Sorry to hear about yours.

Due to a series of unfortunate events this 180g tank was shutdown sold and moved.

Then,

Due to a series of fortunate events a new 208g tank now rests in it's place. (empty now, but not for long)

Old tank dimensions were: 66"x24"x26"
New tank dimesions are: 66"x28"x26"

I also had the overflow removed from inside and made external off one side. (peninsula style) This equates into a much larger display volume.

I'm hoping to have some pictures up by the weekend.
