Chrysopterus out of QT

Chrysopterus are out of QT after 6 weeks of being treated with Coppersafe and Maracyn 2. I've seen no problems with them at all in QT. After intro into the reef tank they were a little skidish but both began hosting within several hours. At last check they were both sleeping together in their GBTA.
Keep your fingers crossed for me because I don't know if I'll ever feel secure with this species.

Just wanted to share this short success, cause we all know how many times we've heard the bad side of chrysopterus.

some not so great pics

I will slowly begin to saturate feed and raise the temp and lengthen the lighting to prepare for breeding. I'll let them settle in for a few weeks first.

dude, you suck, I am sooooooo jealous
really best of luck with them, if you get them to breed let me know :)

man, if I had any really good tips, I would have a swimming pair of my own right now. Let us know what has been working for you and what hasnt.

I'm no expert, that is certain.

How it all worked out.

I got lucky and a LFS got 3 pairs in. I got there in time to have a choice of two of the three pairs. Two pairs were mid size about 2-3" and the last pair was a small pair 1" and 1.5" All the pairs were in reef tanks and were eating well. I chose the small pair and had the LFS keep them for a week. After that week I picked them up and asked the LFS owner as much about the pair I could think of. He told me he had FW dipped them upon acclimation.

QT:
I kept them in a 29 gallon with a protein skimmer and a maxi-jet powerhead, 2 clay pots, and the sides and back were coverd in black.

I treated the clowns with copper-safe per box directions 5ml per 4 gallons. I also treated them with Maracyn 2 everyother day for 5 days. I kept the tank as clean as possible to avoid ammo and detritus build up. Remembering to always add the coppersafe to the replacement water.

I really think that I just got lucky with this pair;)
