I'm in the process of planning a 10g nano reef. Been lurking and found great advice (that I plan to follow 
). I still have lots of questions, but will focus this thread on circulation.
I was planning on partitioning a small portion of a 10g to act as an overflow and mini-sump. This return will provide some flow but I still want to supplement (or multiply) that flow.
My current thinking/research leads me to two options ...
1-Powerheads
2-Closed loop system
I'm leaning towards a closed loop to minimize the cons of #1 (heat and visual).
Any thoughts or other options would be very much appreciated.
Also how much flow is too much or too little?
Anyone ever use the loc-line side nozzle pieces to construct a multi-directional "spraybar like" device for circulation?
