Circulation Demands of Rics?

I was curious how much flow is recommended for a soft coral/ric tank (I am hoping to keep leathers, rics, zoos, green star polyps). I currently have 4 Koralia 1's (400 gph ea.), though I am planning to switch those out for 2 Koralia Magnum 8's (3250 gph ea.).

i think that may be on the high side but with a large tank like you have it may be ok as long as they are not directly in the flow path

I have a 29 gallon with 3 koralia 1's, 2 AC50's and 1 MJ1200. That's quite a lot of flow and my 'shrooms seem to love it.

caribbean rics and zoos require minimal flow to survive. they dont grow in high flow areas in the wild. generally, they naturally occur along the base of rocks below the high flow zone of reefs.

a low flow system is perfectly fine for an all soft coral environment. if you have high flow, your ricordea and mushrooms will eventually relocate to lower flow areas of your tank.

good luck, sounds like an awesome setup!
