Circulation Pump 1073.090 submersible?

I saw a post on another board that said the Tunze Master Electronic Recirculation Pump 1073.090 was submersible in saltwater because it did not have the aluminum cooling fins. Is that correct? Thanks.

That is plausible but I am not sure. I would have to ask. That is an awefully big pump to run submerse though, from a practical standpoint I don't see it working well even if physically possible.

I am using two of the Eheim 1262s submersible and was hoping to simplify with just one pump.

I will try to get an answer tomorrow. It is a bit bigger than both of those pumps together but it does use a bit less power, you would need a 1.5" return.

It will work OK submerged, but just to make it clear for anyone who searches- only model 1073.09 can be submerged in saltwater.
