Circulation questions

Do you need to have wave timers to keep anemones? I remember reading that anemones like a varied flow, and that pointing a Maxijet straight at a anemone was not good. Right now I only use Koralia powerheads in my tank, and i was wonderiong if I needed the wave timers since the Koralia's output is dispersed in a gentle but high flow V-Cone current. Hopefully you understand what I am trying to say, it's hard to describe what the outputs from the different powerheads are like.

From what I have read, the flow just has to be random. I have my power heads pointing down (bare bottom) on timmers, but I use the timers just randomize the flow. If the current is gentle enough, you can point the power head directly at the anenome, but it better be gentle. Most ppl will have two power heads hitting the anenome at different angles to really provide random flow. I face my power heads down b/c they are very powerful and I get good random flow from all the deflection.

Thanks for your help. When I place my hand in the tank, I can barely feel the current 6" in front of the powerhead. It is a Koralia #1, 400 gph. I am starting to wonder if these powerheads are strong enough, or if I should upgrade to the #2 (600gph), 3 (800gph), or 4 (1200 gph) Koralia.

Eklikewhoa,
Sorry for the miscommunication. Yes, it is the 135 gallon. Though I do have 4 of the Koralia #1's, so that the powerheads circulate a total of 1600 gph, or about 11 times the tanks volume per hour ( I also have a bigger Rio pump as tha main return pump to the display tank, but I miscalculated the head so that it just gets the water into the tank, but I don't think it adds much velocity.). But anyway, do I have enough circulation in my tank for condy or bubble-tip anemones (still trying to decide which anemone to get.)?
